1. No waiting list - same-day consultation, next-day medication: NHS abortion services often involve multiple referral steps and waiting periods. At Top at Home, most patients complete their consultation and have medication dispatched the same day - arriving the next working day via Royal Mail Tracked delivery. For many women, time is the most important factor.
2. CQC-regulated care from consultant gynaecologists: Top at Home is regulated by the Care Quality Commission (No. 1-18246474358). Your care is led by GMC-registered consultant gynaecologists with specialist expertise in reproductive health - the same level of clinical oversight you would receive in a private hospital setting.
3. Complete privacy - no GP involvement, no clinic visits required: Your consultation, prescription, and medication are managed entirely remotely. Your GP is not notified unless you request it. Medication arrives in plain, unmarked packaging with no reference to Top at Home or its contents.
4. Direct access to your clinical team throughout: You have direct access to our medical team via phone and WhatsApp - before, during, and after treatment. You are not passed between departments or left waiting for a callback.

◆ When We Issue a Refund — Clinical Ineligibility
The only circumstance in which a full refund is issued is if our GMC-registered consultant gynaecologist determines during your consultation that you are clinically ineligible for medical abortion. We understand this can be an unexpected outcome and we handle every case with care. Your refund will be returned to your original payment method within 7–10 working days, minus a £20 administration fee covering payment processing and allocated clinical team time.
◆ No Refunds After Booking
All bookings are non-refundable once confirmed. When you book, your appointment slot is reserved exclusively for you and removed from availability for other patients who may need urgent care. We understand that NHS appointments sometimes become available after booking with us — we are not able to offer refunds in this circumstance, as your slot cannot be reallocated at short notice.
◆ No Refunds Once Medication Is Dispatched
Once your consultation is complete and your medication has been dispatched, no refund can be issued. Under UK medicines regulations, prescription medication cannot be returned, resold, or restocked once it has left our pharmacy — regardless of whether it is in transit or has been delivered.
◆ Royal Mail Delays
Top at Home is not liable for delivery delays caused by Royal Mail, including during bank holidays and long weekends. To give yourself the best chance of next-day delivery, please complete your consultation before 3:00pm Monday to Friday. We recommend checking for any upcoming bank holidays when scheduling your appointment.
◆ Rescheduling Your Appointment
We understand that circumstances change. If you need to move your appointment, you can reschedule at no additional cost, subject to availability. Please contact us as soon as possible and we will do our best to find a time that works for you.
✓ Same-Day Dispatch for Consultations Completed Before 3:00pm (Monday–Friday)
If your consultation is completed before 3:00pm on a weekday, your medication will be dispatched the same day via Royal Mail Tracked 24, with next-day delivery expected.
✓ Tracking Code Sent the Same Evening
For consultations completed before 3:00pm, you will receive your Royal Mail tracking code by email between 7:00–8:00pm on the same day, so you can monitor your delivery in real time.
✓ Next Working Day Dispatch for All Other Bookings
Consultations completed after 3:00pm, or on weekends and bank holidays, will have medication dispatched on the next working day, with delivery expected the following day. For example, a Saturday consultation will be dispatched on Monday for Tuesday delivery, as Royal Mail does not operate a Sunday collection service.
✓ Discreet Packaging
Your medication will arrive in plain, unmarked packaging with no reference to Top at Home or the nature of its contents, for complete privacy and confidentiality.
✓ Public Holidays and Long Weekends
During UK public holidays and bank holiday weekends, Royal Mail services may experience delays. These are outside of our control and we are unable to guarantee delivery windows during these periods. Delays caused by Royal Mail are not eligible for refunds.
